The Rain Continues To fall....on the Yankees

This just in:  " Yank's Estevan Florial sidelined with injury."

This is the topping to the slop cake the Yankees are putting on in KC.

Giving away a game to the worst team in baseball.

Running into each other, dropping pop-ups, booting charity hop ground balls with the bases loaded and two out.

Not driving in runs with RISP.

Start drinking heavily now and turn off the TV.

You don't want to see the rest of this.

Awful performance.

You know, I keep wanting this team to be the 1998 Yankees, and they keep turning in turds like this one.

I think this team is better off not playing. Really, what was that tonight? Were they not up for it? Were they bored? What?

Awful. Yes, I'm glad Scranton had two singles. But he's not Reggie Jackson. He's not A-Rod. He's Hank Bauer, and we don't have a Gene Woodling.

Didi, we love ya. But if this doesn't stop—soon—we'll take Manny next year, and trade you for a couple of pitchers.

Games like this are what make me wonder why I follow professional sports at all. Yeah, I know it's hard to get up for something everyday. When you're paid several million dollars, there should be more of an effort.

Really. I know that baseball, or any sport, is not theatre, or opera, or ballet, or a recital, or any other kind of performance.

I get it. Guys go flat. It happens.

And yet...

I don't remember the performers in those entertainments ever turning in the sorts of non-events we saw tonight. I don't remember such a minimal effort. Ever. I'm not saying it shouldn't happen.

I'm just saying that since it does, the cost of a ticket—and a cable subscription—should be about one-tenth of what it is now.

And if that means that the players and management should make less, well...

AccuWeather forecast for Kansas City for Saturday afternoon/evening:

"A dangerous p.m. t-storm; storms can bring downpours, large hail, damaging winds, and a tornado"

Yippie! More Abbot and Costello!

Fortunately for me, I was distracted by a fresh crop of magic mushrooms after the third inning.

Hey Killer Doc--no one has ever heard of Castle Connolly except all the elite hospitals in the country, which actively cite its best doctor ratings in their doctor bios and in their hospital advertising and promotions (see extensive citation of the Castle Connolly listings below from three of the top hospitals in the world). No one has ever heard of Castle Connolly except the likes of New York magazine, one of the most important publications in the country, which uses its best-doctor listings as the basis for its annual "Best Doctors" issue.

Until I brought it to your attention, you had not heard of it because you're fourth-rate piece of shit incompetent who is lucky not to have had your license suspended by now.

Clear enough, asshole? And it's obvious from the erratic pattern of your posts, their odd obsessive quality and the strange hours of posting, that you have a serious drinking problem. Get help.
