A Departing Haiku For Masahiro Tanaka

Masa of his craft
Another rising sun sets
His arm still attached.

I don't know if this is the right place to register this complaint about Yankee management. But I'd like to point something out about the tag-sale that Derek Jeter conducted. Jeter wanted to get rid of all the talent, and out of that mess came Christian Yelich, J.T. Realmuto and "Giancarlo sono bouno" or whatever it is that John Sterling says when Stanton swats one of his memorable though too infrequent homers.

They thought they were signing up for the Alpha Dog but Stanton's not even a junkyard dog. Yelich is MVP. Realmuto appears to be the best catcher in baseball or one of them.

Classic screw up.
