It's on: Cashman is trending on Twitter

The Mets just acquired Lindor. The Yankiverse is restless...

This is getting ri-goddamn-diculous. It feels like I’m living in bizarre o world. San Diego keeps getting better, the Mets THE METS! Are making us look like fools while coops sits in the corner like a cuck. When did baseball start picking the winner by who saves the most money? I never thought I’d see the day where the Yankees get outspent. I’m 34. DJ is holding us hostage while the rest of the baseball world spins. Am I wrong to think about letting DJ walk and bring Didi back for one year? Take that money and spend it on pitching that we clearly need in the rotation. Sign Story next off season and leave Torres at 2B where he belongs. But nope none of that will happen, Cashman will continue to sleep on the damn sidewalk sucking his thumb while the Mets bang the prom queen. Oh well, I guess every orgy needs a witness.

Lindor to Mets increases likelihood of DJ back with Yankees, I think.

Oh, it gets better!

The Mets are also in negotiations to get Kris Bryant, and are talking with George Springer and Liam Hendricks (1.79 ERA, 39 saves over the last 2 years).

Sure will be fun to see that all-star team in Flushing next year.

Hey, don't despair: This is the ONLY thing that could possibly make HAL and Brain turn away from their strategy of planned dissolution.

You keep going, Steve Cohen!

And hey, looked into the great Greg Allen trade. Even this looks like a damned stupid deal.

James Reeves, the lefty reliever the Yanks gave up, has had a pretty good minor-league career, progressing steadily. His stats in 5 seasons are 20-7, 2.30, and 350 strikeouts in 293 innings. What's more, he seemed to get better and better. At his last stop, Trenton, in 2019, he went 7-2 with a 1.79 ERA.

Hey, I'm no prophet, Lord I don't know nature's ways, as Carly Simon might warble. Maybe Reeves lost a shoe or otherwise failed to impress at The Alternate Site in 2020.

But when you're bullpen is rapidly diminishing, why would you ever deal this guy for a speedy, switch hitting mediocrity who has never hit terribly well anywhere, not even in college, and who will only clog up your Triple-A outfield?

This makes no sense.

None of this makes any sense.
