There are dim bulbs in the Yankees' front office ... oops, I meant at Steinbrenner Field

Another quick ICYMI: The Yankees have embarrassingly dim lights at their spring training stadium, George M. Steinbrenner Field.

Apparently Hal Steinbrenner doesn't believe in wasting money on new, young, unproven lights. He'd rather spend his money on older lights that once shone brightly, in the hope that they can one day return to their former brightness.

It's kind of his philosophy.

(Oh, and for the first time in several years, the Yankees have cut down their traditional Calendar Weekend at the stadium to just one Calendar Day. But remember, Hal (Mr. $3.2 billion) isn't cheaping out. Nope. Not at all.)
