The critics are raving about this talented Yankee ball club

New York Times: "... a downhill racer wobbling on one ski, veering toward disaster..."

NJ.com: "... mediocre by definition..."

ESPN: "... hard to believe they can have a real run in them..."

River Ave: "... thoroughly mediocre..."

Charles Dickens: "... Their demeanor is invariably morose, sullen, clownish and repulsive. I should think there is not, on the face of the earth, a people so entirely destitute of humor, vivacity, or the capacity for enjoyment..."

Woody Allen: "... They don't throw their garbage away. They make it into TV shows..."

King George V: "... I thought men like that shot themselves..."

Mark Twain: "... I didn't attend the funeral, but I sent a nice letter saying I approved of it..."

John Sterling: "... three and a half out of the wild card, Suzyn, and only three in the loss column..."

The Yankees are so exciting this year, I watched the World Cup with a bunch of Germans and had a great time.

47-47, and Tanaka is gone. That means a sub-.500 second half. Oh boy.

Deutsches Bier makes for a good time, no matter what!

Drinking Deutsches beer is one thing, but rooting along with Germans never makes for a great time.

Anonymous, do you know any Germans? They're not that bad, honestly. They've always treated me very well whenever I've visited, either for business or pleasure. It was nice to see them win and finally have something to crow about. As a Yankee fan, I totally get that.
