Time To Go Back To Work

The fun part of the season has reached an end.  We've consumed all the beer and hot dogs we can eat, we've stayed up 'til dawn, drinking and laughing in the hot tub.

It is time to get back to work.  Labor Day has come and gone.  Time to grind again.

When the season started, we all said we'd be happy to be right in the thick of the race, come Labor Day.

And we got our wish.  We are tied for first and the bell is ringing.

Time for Jason Nix, Andruw Jones, Chris Dickerson and that Stewart kid we have catching for us to explode on the scene.  Let's translate those .168 averages into a power surge.

Start scoring runs by the dozen.

We've got Russell Martin on the bench, not to mention Raulo and Ichiro.

And A-Rod is bound to get more infield singles, even if Grandy can only strike out.

We'll have to gut it out, but this is the pennant race we wanted.  This is when we show the world what Cashman and the Steinbrenner sons have put together.

Fasten your seat belts.

Look out Boston, here we come.
