He's a performance promotion. Rather than wowing scouts, all he's done was hit at every level. 

Now the question: Will Boone play him?

Let's see they bring up Amburgey, the Red Sox bring up soome kid name Duran. My guess is by the end of the weekend Yankee fans will be saying NO MAS to Duran and Amburgey will sitting behind Gardner & Locastro (or whatever his name is) because any minute those guys could take off.

The annals of baseball are full of guys who came up and streaked for a week or a month. If we get that out of Trey Amburgey, dayenu!

A. Not to make a difference, and
B. To showcase him for a trade.

We could think he was named after John Wayne ( Trey's middle name ) and call him The Duke.
