Rain is always ready to go, doesn't need a day off. Never needs to warm up, never needs a personal catcher, never worries about analytics or Lefty/Righty matchups.

Rain doesn't need "The Stare."

They called up Ryan LaMarre!!!!!!!!!

Locastro tears ACL; on 60-day IL; expected return in 2022.

Be careful what you wish for.

I can’t believe some of you are actually watching the Mutts.

@Dick...I wasn't watching the game, but while on the internets, I came across this...it is something out of The Bad News Bears...

After the Yankee game got rain-delayed, I checked out the Met game, just in time to see the walk off grand slam by the Pirates. It was a lot of fun! I was like, so that's what it feels like to hit a walk off homer. I was kind of glad somebody other than us gives up walk off blasts like that. Maybe it's not us, maybe the other teams are better!

Watching the Mets has been very illuminating, Dick Allen.

After an absolutely bone-breaking loss last night, with their best pitcher and their big new free agent on the DL, everything going wrong, they came out today and played an abominable first inning, full of terrible pitching, bad fielding, mental mistakes. Fell behind 6-0, before they got two outs.

Their manager ran out and got all over the umps on a controversial call, even though he was probably wrong. Got himself ejected. Mets came back, won 7-6 in the 9th.

Huh. I wonder what that can tell us?

same old mutts

just didn't think the yankees would be lumped in with those turds

what can that tell us?

oh, yeah, now i remember: spending a lot of money does not guarantee anything

I won $29,000,000 in the power ball lottery, I took advice from a person who talked about this great spell caster called Dr. OKOYE. The person placed a testimonies on a blog saying how Dr. OKOYE helped him win the lottery by sending him the winning number. I was curious and I thought it was all a joke not until I contacted this spell caster to know for myself how this works cause I have spent a lot buying tickets and I never win. I contacted he and him told me the necessary thing that need to be done and i did it and his told me to wait for 3 days and truly he gave me the winning numbers to play the lottery which i did, Can you believe my name was the first winner that is how i won {$29,000,000} Contact him on okoyespiritemple@gmail.com or Whatsapp +2348109476757 Dr OKOYE is the only answer to that your problem of winning the lottery

Did I actually see a Yankee ... BUNT ... successfully?

Dr. OKOYE said...

I told him to bunt.

JM said...

That was painful, even though we got two runs walked in.

"Did I actually see a Yankee ... BUNT ... successfully?" All the arthritic old farts on this blog, get up now out of your lumbar-support chairs--you can do it!--and party like it's 1909!

I came to this blog this morning (early Mon) to see if the consensus was a 2-win performance playing a bunch of muttonheads vs. the Boston Cheaters -- rain-aided as it was -- could be called a good thing or a bad thing.

My brain tells me it's always good to win.

My gut tells me this was a disaster.

Unfortunately, my brain ain't so sharp anymore, and my gut has an impressive W-L record over time.

Don't anybody worry,
I had a nice chat with Dr. OKOYE [19.95 per minute, first ten seconds free] and after I gave him the first eight numbers in my SS so he could confirm my identity, he assured my that I will be dead by 2050 and the Yankees WILL NOT LOSE tonight.
Wow do I feel so much better now.
