I see that Stanton is batting 2nd. Makes sense. I mean yesterday he did manage to hit a fair ball.

Another genius move by our guest manager of the year, Aaron Booooooooone.

It's a wonder Clint is in the lineup at all. Watch and see if he doesn't get plunked tonight.

Stanton hitting second finally got hot before he got hurt again. Which will it be this time? Are we going to take bets on whether he gets hurt or gets hot?

Judge in CF? When he and Frazier collide, that's going to be some train wreck.

Hammer, if Judge and Clint collide, they'll both be diving for the same ball and bang heads.

Two IL volunteers for the price of one.

Judge played center in college, and I'm pretty sure that he still works out there. He'll be okay, but it really shows how desperate they are.

I like the level of “fuck it” in this line up card

Judge played center for one game for us in 2018. He successfully fielded one flyball. So there.

DickAllen1964 said...

Well, Horace, that settles it. Boooooone must have that info in his binder.

It obvious they are having problems with their datasets...this is why they are hiring for that role...

Ranger,

It's worse than that. They're looking for two lower level programmers also.

Sorta like Boris:

SANCHEZ’s BATTING AVERAGE ABOVE .200!!

Not for long.

You fuckers ditched me in the old thread!! Bastards!!

TheWinWarblist said...

Thank you Rufus for coming to get me.

Bastards!!

Only one of those pitches was a strike. Dammit Andujar

TheWinWarblist said...

Le Grande Rouge.

And ICS stopped at second. Probably tripped.

frazier again. Good!

Is is me or is Frazier not taking that huge backswing to start he developed that last year?

Rufus T. Firefly said...

Piss!

HoraceClarke66 said...

I'm sorry, but what in holy hell is Stanton swinging at there? Hang in, take a walk, or try to hit a single, you great lump of muscle.

I'm beginning to think people are right, that he really can't see the ball from that stance. But today we have also seen the return of "The Busboy Swing"—G.C. just sweeping his bat arbitrarily across the strike zone, like a busboy using that little silver instrument to sweep crumbs off your table after a course.

It's even worse than the infamous, "upward trajectory." You are not going to hit a fucking thing with that swing—and if you do manage to somehow, you are not going to be able to drive it anywhere.

And yet, another sloppy, half-minded play to keep the Rays alive.

Are the Yankees distracted by the future of global warming? Do they have someplace else to be? They sure play like it.

HoraceClarke66 said...

And a double steal, without a throw. The Yanks have turned what should be man on first, two out, into second and third, one out.

And now Boone is bringing back in the guy the Rays just saw plenty of last night. And I ask again: why have a 13-man staff if you're going to do this sort of thing?

TheWinWarblist said...

Why have a Wandy Peralta at all? I mean I'm happy the guy is making a living, but can't he do that in some place like Kansas City?

HoraceClarke66 said...

And now Lasagna. Unbelievable.

HoraceClarke66 said...

Hey Warbler, don't forget: Connor the Cannon came with him.

Pocono Steve said...

Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.

JM said...

Odor is no Luis Soto. He's not even Wiley Wallaby.

JM said...

They can't run the bases. Wtf?

Anonymous said...

Well that was quite something.

JM said...

And it smelled very bad.

HoraceClarke66 said...

Is this game being filmed for instructional purposes?

Holy shit! Two more guys picked off one the bases.

Our total for the season? 29. The MLB average is 15.

I'm sorry, I know the thing is now that you're never supposed to embarrass players by getting on them in public. These guys need to be embarrassed. If Boone won't chew them out the minute they're back in the dugout, he needs to go.

ranger_lp said...

Force the whole team to watch “The Baseball Bunch”. Every season. Every episode.

Rufus T. Firefly said...

Dare to take strike three.

Rufus T. Firefly said...

That's an improvement. Swing at ball four.

TheWinWarblist said...

Odor isn't even Alvaro Espinoza.

TheWinWarblist said...

I always like to walk the first batter. It's fancy.

Rufus T. Firefly said...

He hasn't even worked up a sweat yet.

12 more balls may fix that.

TheWinWarblist said...

And the second batter. Extra fancy.

TheWinWarblist said...

Don't walk Choi, don't walk Choi, don't.

HoraceClarke66 said...

Wow. He cannot throw the ball past Ji Man Choi.

Pocono Steve said...

Now, retire Punky Meadows, and we can go to bed.

TheWinWarblist said...

Flop Sweat is going to blow it, Flop Sweat is going to blow it, blow it, blow it ...

HoraceClarke66 said...

All right, terrific. Only 2 of 3 of our pitchers failed to field routine ground balls successfully. A win is a win.

TheWinWarblist said...

What the fuck just happened? What the fuck just happened?

The uh uh uh uh Yankees win?

ranger_lp said...

We won a game that could have easily been a loss…
