Green Chad Green is not the problem

Okay, he gave up another HR last night.

He leads all MLB relievers in innings pitched.

The guy is overworked beyond belief.

Well, there goes the winning streak. Had to happen sooner or later.

This is how the Yankees do it. Every year since Tanyon Sturtze and Scott Procter, Torre/Girardi/Boone grind the bullpen into dust. Good relief pitchers get used hard and put up wet until they got nothing left.

It's almost as if they had invested in good starting pitching, this wouldn't be happening.

Almost.

Hilarious, guys! And very true.

Also, at this point, Chad Green is definitely part of the problem.

My prediction months ago was the bullpen would be over- workded and not hold up. Blame injuries, a weak starting rotation or mismanagement by Boone. Your choice! Green and Chapman can't get by on throwing straight fastballs at 95-97mph anymore major league hitters have caught up and HRs are not that unusual at these speeds anymore.

I’m surprised it took this long for the arms to start falling off.
