Secure Message For Mustang; No one else is authorized to read this.

Dear Mustang,

The Yankees open the subway series against the Mets on Tuesday.  Give me your starting line-up.

It is the only way we can watch it.  The royals are the Yankee surrogate.

Duque loves this.  Remember?

Tanaka is ready to start, I think.  But CC is still at Silver Hill.  Maybe Adam Warren can give us 5 solid innings in game 2.

But, I am getting way ahead of myself.

Dear Alphonso,

Forgive the delay. Big Bang and I spent Saturday in an Amtrak Viewliner Roomette, a luxury accommodation indistinguishable from a prison cell. We both recommend it.

To the business at hand. Tanaka starts on Tuesday, of course. And we can fiddle with the rotation as we go. But certain late developments must take priority.

I didn't see Girard's suspension coming, but naming A-Rod player-manager was the bigger surprise. The refusal of veterans McCann, Ellsbury, Beltran & Headley to play for "Bitch Tits" leaves and Cashman few choices. Lineup projects to be Gardner CF, Refsnyder 2B, Bird 1B, A-Rod DH, Heathcott RF, Sanchez C, Judge RF, Gregorious SS, and nobody at 3B.

As we're a National League team for the duration of this series, in DH-less home games A-Rod will be starting pitcher.

Yankees in four.

Correction: We're the AL team playing the Mets? OK, forget A-Rod starting. Unless Pineda is hurt.

Mustang;

The first two games are in KC…so AL rules apply. I think Peralta can play third….or is his name Pirela?

In any case, going with your Scranton dominated line-up is a lot like the KC group. Young and high potential. And we use Beltran off the bench to take call strike three.

Where were you going or coming from on Amtrack?

If you give me the starting third baseman, I'll post line-up tomorrow am. The point here is to shake the sanity of you know who. Our leader. Our fearless leader.

We were Amtraking home from Brooklyn; we spent three nights in Williamsburg where, as it turns out, it is impossible to find a bad meal. Unlike Manhattan.

3B is a problem. I'd stick Jagielo in, but wasn't on the Sept. 1st 40-man and is thus ineligible. I say we roll in a batting practice backstop to defend third. With Headley boycotting manager A-Rod, we have no one.

Thanks for clearing up my brain-fart; of course A-Rod will have to be the starting pitcher for games 3, 4 and (if necessary) 5 if he wants to bat, and you know he wants to bat.
