Disappearing Comments

Some posters report that their comments have been disappearing. To my knowledge, no one connected with the blog has been deleting any. It might be one of those computer/internet glitches that lie far beyond human ken. Possibly something to do with Tron (pictured). Anyway, it's unacceptable and please keep commenting. We must process this Fenway series together or we shall surely hang separately!

That's new Tron. I prefer the original Tron.

Now I have over six hours to kill until the game. And it's on Fox, to boot. Good day to listen to the Master.

I’ve noticed some of comments vanish too.
Sometimes, that might be a good thing…

Question: is there a way to disable or workaround the verification picture that proves
you’re not a robot? I get hit with it constantly.

I never deal with that, 999. Just click Publish, and you should get a sign in for email and password. At least, it works for me.

Say what you will about Nestor's performance last night (league catching up with him, etc) BUT he not only shut down Rafael Devers at the plate, he corkscrewed Devers lower back into such a state where he's on the bench for tonight's game.

Let's hope that Monty brings his A game tonight.

I blame it on google's two factor verification. I don't have it on my blogspot email. (Believe it or not, my real name is not Rufus, it's actually Arthur Dent. And Rufus doesn't have a cell phone number he's willing to share with google, because it doesn't exist).

The mysterious disappearing posts started (for me at least) when google started demanding two factor verification around the beginning of June. It certainly wreaked havoc on the equally madeup email addresses I have for my security cameras.

Has anyone who *does* comply with the borg - I mean google - requirement for two factor verification seen their posts disappearing? If not, it points to that being the cause.

Fuck you HAL.

Yes, it's ridiculous that the game is being played at night. But considering how our New York Yankees usually play at night...

I have not deleted any of the Commentariat. The odd Ghost of Puckered, but that is all.

Rufus, the gods of Google used to pester me with double authentication, but stopped some time ago. The NY Times, however annoys me every day with it. The Wash Post and LA Times never do. But then, the NYT sucks in other ways, too.
