Last week, Hal and Cash achieved their main objective: A back page. But that's about all.
Don't get me wrong: I'm not complaining. Third place teams need to make the scene, touch the flesh, return the phone calls. But between A-Rod's trial, Robbie's likelihood of a drawn-out signing process, and now the delays in posting Tanaka, we could be seriously handcuffed by our own uncertainties, when the dominoes start to drop.
That's a spending swing of about $350 million, and we won't know nuthin until Christmas. Ouch.

I wish we were a third place team. We tied for fourth and are listed fourth in the standings. Our glass is half empty.
Even emptier, KD.
