So, in the bizarre, alternate universe where I have spent the last few days they have this sports section that actually devotes entire pages to this thing called, "Box scores," which contain detailed information about how the game went.
They also have "reporters" who not only cover local games, but who also travel even to faraway places like New York to "report" on how out-of-town teams such as the Yankees are doing. A place where sports such as "sled hockey," or ram hunting, or "soccer" are all but unknown.
Weird, right? What could this fantastical place be? Shangri-la? Utopia? Bali Hai?
Actually, it's even weirder: Washington, DC.
Some call you a swamp. We call you home.
Of course, while I was gone, the Yankees did catch up somewhat here, closing the gap to Soccer 51, Yankees 46.
Still, the memories of Bali Hai linger..."Here I am, your own special island, come to me, come to me..."
