Another awful, worthless loss tonight.
I bow to Alphonso in complete acknowledgement of how right he was about this Yankees team, and how much I let optimism—for the only time in my life, I swear it!—carry me away, Calgon style.
I would say this team has a one-dimensional hitting attack, but it is not really up to an entire dimension.
Half-dimension? Anti-dimension?
Anyway, they can't score runs with any consistency. And while the starters have been better than any of us would have thought, the Great Fathomless Bullpen—supposedly one of our greatest assets—has now been discovered to be about a foot deep.
The last time the home opener got snowed out, with the misconceived "Speed Team" back in 1982? We went 80-82.
We'll be lucky to do that well in 2018.

Can't blame Ma Boone for THIS fiasco - - though I'm still blaming him for that intentional walk in Toronto...he's the MANAGER, FCS, not D-Rob's whisperer, nor his Hope Hicks. It was a bonehead move.
Giancarlo may be alright - - but nobody is "all right" - - even he who can cause the market to tank (or, perhaps, ESPECIALLY he who can cause the market to tank).
Long season ahead of us, if we can't beat up on the Jays & the Rays - - not to mention Buck's Boys.
That having been said, I'll be watching tonight, unless my DTV dish get snowed up again, as it did this early AM. LB (No J)
