Dear Editor
I have never been more embarrassed in my life to be a Yankees
fan. I can only hope the Steinbrenners and Randy Levine issue a public apology
to the fans, because we're owed one. We're also owed a new manager, new hitting
coach (goodbye Kevin Long!), and a large chunk of new players. This postseason
has been a complete joke and has embarrassed this city. George Steinbrenner is
probably rolling over in his grave.

If crazy King George is rolling in his grave, that would make the recent postseason abomination worthwhile. This is one Yankee fan who believes we should all be dancing on his grave for 35 years of mismanagement driven by hubris.
The only championships won during his ownership occurred when the team was truly managed by someone else: Gabe Paul in the 1970s and Gene Michael in the 1990s.
Steinbrenner was a buffoon, and that's about the nicest thing I can say about him.
Hey, hold on, Tom. He was a buffoon AND an egocentric asshole.
Credit where it's due, after all.
