The Yankees are 25 games over .500

No matter how you slice it...

Life is good.

...and no shadows in sight! Except, maybe, the shadow of Joey Gallo exiting the clubhouse, and our collective psyche, for the final time. Man, won't that be fine?!

I had them being 6 games above .500 at the end of the year. They are making me look really foolish right now. I don't see how they are really this good. Probably the rest of baseball is really terrible right now which explains how the Mets are riding so high as well.

I sob for the loss. Weep with me people. Forgive and forget that these dark days can sometimes happen. We are. So let us be.

Hey, you can't win 'em all. For some reason.

Best to lose when you don't have anything on either side of the ball.

My one complaint? Gleyber Torres runs like a one-legged man carrying an anvil. His DP with the bases loaded today—and the score still 0-0—took longer than the Middle Ages.

Yet still, somehow, The Gleyber was out at first. I was triggered, with PTSD visions of the last play against Boston in 2018 running through my head.
