...and they are GRIM. And I don't mean Bob Grim.
These are from the Twitter account of one Katie Sharp Katie Sharp @ktsharp 8 hours ago:
—Last night, the Yankees were 0-12 with runners in scoring position, their worst such performance of the season.
—Since June 1, the Yanks as a team are hitting .179 with runners in scoring position, THE WORST SUCH PERFORMANCE IN THE MAJOR LEAGUES.
—Neil Walker has one—count it, one—base hit in his last 29 plate appearances.
So...as a team, our hitting has dropped off the map.
Individually, our catcher and first baseman have completely melted down, our shortstop is in an extended, two-month power-drought, and even our best hitters, such as Judge and Stanton, are hitting below what they did last year.
But it's working!
Just keep telling yourself that our organizational approach to hitting is working! I mean, there must be some evidence somewhere to back that up. Right?
Never mind!
Swing out of your shoes on every pitch! Don't be afraid to take called third strikes! Runners advance base by base—no stealing! Anyone can bat anywhere in the lineup! AND FOR GOD'S SAKES DON'T GIVE UP ON NEIL WALKER!
It's working—somehow, somewhere, in some alternate time and universe it's working. Just keeping repeating: Every day in every way, we're hitting better and better!

Totally agree with this post as well.

TWW,
What you said. Only louder.
I love you, Rufus. I want to nestle your head in my ample bosom. A caring and tender Bronski, if you will.
TWW,
You need to hang with the two gorgeous blondes a little bit more.
I've let them run free into the wild.
