Oh my.

I've changed my mind.  I had to, after this:

https://www.nydailynews.com/sports/baseball/yankees/ny-sports-clint-frazier-media-20190604-lwnhvczqgnbsvakffucr3pbvh4-story.html

Trade him now.  Trade him for Bumgarner.  Trade him for whatever you can get for him.

Anything, anything, anything appeals to me, save the possibility of a 24-year-old millionaire palavering on about his misunderstood childhood.

Maybe it's all the bumps on his head, which if it's the case is sad.  Maybe, to quote Joni, it's the time of year or maybe it's the time of man.

Whatever the case, I say no more.  Deal him for magic beans and a couple of Mets.  Just please don't make us listen to this anymore.

I can't tell whether it's worse for him to hide from the media or to say things like he did in that article to the media.

As the Brits might say, "He's a bit of a wanker, that one."

He just needs a new nickname.

How about "bad karma"?

I agree that Frazier made a fool of himself. Hopefully, it's just a one-time lame excuse from a dopey 24 year old kid. He would have been better served if he made up a story that earlier in the day that he ate a plate of clams fra diavolo at Tony's Clam Hut and it must have given him food poisoning so bad that he couldn't focus.

Unfortunately, his rant probably bolsters the theory that Frazier is slightly non-compos mentis.

By the way, when I called Frazier "a dopey 24 year old kid" I didn't mean it as a diss. I was a dopey kid at 24 in retrospect and most boys are at that age. Nor do I think lying is generally the correct way to handle a situation. But dealing with the press surely is a trivial and mostly meaningless chore for players in the scheme of life experiences. He just should have BS'ed them back by answering stupid questions with stupid contrived answers that is surely as meaningless in the sports writers/announcers lives as well.
