A philosophical question

Considering that the Redsocks are rolling to their second World Championship in four years...

Should we care who leaves?

Really. Torre? Arod? Jorge? Mo?

Can it get worse?

(Well, let's keep Jorge and Mo. And the young guys.)

I say, shoot this team, set fire to it, bury it in the ground, then dig it up and shoot it again.

What can be worse than this?

You are far too negative.

Be positive like me.

My motto: "Everything can always be worse"

And remember: in the long run, we'll all be dead.

I wish the Redsocks were our worst problem. Let 'em win. We're staring into the abyss whether they exist or not.

Fred Nietzsche put it this way:

If you stare into the abyss, the abyss stares into you.

Smokey Bear knew how to get rid of this team:

Drown them. Stir. Then drown them again.

It's now up to the Colorado Rockies to save the world from the unbearable smugness of the New England Frat Boys who seem to pervade the media with their blatant Red Sox bias and who infest places outside of their home turf (southern California, for example), while still seemingly capitalizing on the "victim card" despite breaking the so-called curse only three years ago and having the best football team too.

These are dark days, indeed.

This frees up a lot of time for me. I can catch up with my work and not have to listen to "Second Guess" McCarver or "Hairplugs" Buck, so this is not such a disaster after all.

La, la, lah!

This is the first intelligent editorial I have read since running away to California.

I am currently playing the part of the human marshmallow, somewhere in Topega canyon. Edwar was with me for a while, but thought it better for him to return to Southern Mexico and join the rebel farmers.

But slashing and burning the Yankees at this point makes all the sense in the world.

there will be no more good times, I think, until the new millenium.

For those of you who think the Rockies will save us, think again.

They will lose by margins of 11-2 or worse, in four straight games. All the sports writers have already constructed their bogus arguments about how the long layoff " cooled them off, etc ".

The fact is, God ( the one with the son , pretty Mary, etc ) and all Mullas, Rabbis and symbols of heresy and witchcraft have conspired to ruin our lives.

Joe Toe Torre has become their toad. And he is raining everywhere on Yankee fans.

The only out, as cited in the good book, is tobring down hellfire and death. Burn the team. Burn the draft picks, the minor league pagan empires and the unholy uniforms.

--Yours in the spirit of the good book; death, dismemburment, stoning and starvation.
