GAME TREAD... Da Jays.

 Document the atrocities.

Once again, it proves that Spring Training means nothing. Domingo German was our best pitcher in spring, but he's getting roughed up big time. The Jays can really hit. They have at least 5-6 guys in their lineup that I'd rather have than our equivalents.

I only listen to the game on WFAN FM, today, for the first time that I can recall, the broadcast was bounced during the 3rd inning? from 101.9 FM to the lowly low fi sister station 660 AM to make way for Nets basketball. This has to be the ultimate 'who gives a crap about the Yankees' harbinger for this season,,,, Urrgggg

I'll also add that 2 games in, I absolutely agree with The Hammer above, this has to be one of the most uninspiring line ups in years,,,,

King is doing better than our starters. Six shutout innings. Shut them down completely.

Who knew? If this isn't a fluke, our future looks suddenly brighter.

Hicks just looks awful. Awful. Awful, I say.

"Offensive futility" sort of rhymes with "Easter candy." Buona (Dan) Pasqua, indeed!

This team stinks. Anyone with a cursory glance at the starting rotation will conclude most belong in the minors. Judge and Gleyber might be two of the most overrated players in the game; Stanton is overpaid.

And Aaron Hicks is the worst. How many years have we been railing against this guy? I'd much sooner jump off a bridge than watch another season of his patented "swing out of my shoes and ground the ball softly to the first baseman" nonsense. How many more years on that awful contract?

On the whole they are overrated and unlikeable group of players. I think I'll take up a hobby until this roster is built properly.

Gary fanned only once. Progress.

Dreadful. The Yankees keep facing teams with dynamic young athletic talent up and down the lineup while the Bummers feature aging flops like Stanton, Hicks, Gardner, and Bruce, along with the usual retinue of younger flops like Sanchez and Urshela, who, I predict, will regress to his mediocre norm at the plate this year. Yet inbred retarded rich-boy Hal sticks with the same management team of time-server retards with whom he is comfortable as "family."

Steel yourself for a long season.

In the last 4 years, the only FUN we had watching this team play was when EVERYONE was hurt and the scrubs proved to be scrappy and actually played the game of baseball properly. Damn that was fun! When all starters are in, the offense is pathetic and boring and predictable.

Ready to throw in the towel after three games, eh?

Unlike fans of the Phillies and Orioles who have yet to lose and are certain they’re going undefeated to the World Series.

Wankers.

Fortunately, I missed the whole game. Thank God for Easter! (Sorry, JM.)

Matt P. nails it exactly. The Yankees' best streak last year came when all the young talent--Frazier, Wade, Ford, etc.--was in the lineup everyday at the same time.

Stanton needed a rest after playing one day, sitting one day and playing one day and I just the term"playing" loosely since he was DHing Would not want to have him DHing five straight calendar days and tempting fate with that finely tuned machine. How many years left with him and Hicksie ?.Lord, I detest Hal and Boone and Cashman.
This is virtually an unwatchable product. I hear Mel Hall is available and so is Danny Tartabull. Perhaps Scott Kamienecki can develop a higher spin rate.

I think Stanton's rest had more to do with 0-8 with 5 Ks. And, even with only 17% of the stadium available for fans, one could hear the boos.

Boone is trying to keep Stanton's " head on straight."
