Suzyn’s take on the Yankees missed one important thing. She said Clint still has to prove himself, but for fuck sake, how is a guy suppose to build any kind of confidence and consistency if he’s on the bench every other day? It’s almost as if they’re trying to break him. Like a wild horse. Play the man and leave him alone. What a fucking joke. Boone belongs in the broadcast booth.

And the reality is the only other back-up outfielder the Yanks have is Brett Gardner, who should have retired already. There's nobody—unless they're planning to try AnDUjar out there. And they sure as hell don't have another, competent fielding outfielder.

Secondly, the team has a cadre of people who evaluate player's hitting/pitching "groove". I have to believe that they see a different game than we do. With this terrible start management doesn't have the luxury to let players get into a groove, or have a set line-up.
